Akshaya Nutemeal is meant to give nutrient food to school children, as the busy parents are not able to give such good food to school going children. I am Ritu Narayan the principal and director of the school chain, Richbrains, in Bangalore. I found my school children brining malnutrition food for lunch. I used to find school children falling sick quite often. So I decided to give nutritious food to school children. For few days together I took a team of cooks and with the help of some nutritionists, we designed some lunch combinations that will give good immunity to children. After testing it for few days, I approached the parents to support this endeavor. Parents found it good and they supported us. We are not operating this as a profit making or money making effort. It is more a value added service to our school so that we can stand out in the crowd of competition. It helped us attract more parents. They found it a very good service and they recommended our school to many parents. That’s how it became a very good value-added model for our chain of schools.
